Marital Life Problems and Solutions
Remedies for Delays and Obstacles in Marriage
Attraction, love, affection, and emotional bonds between men and women have existed since the beginning of creation. This emotional attraction is considered the reason for the establishment of the institution of marriage. While physical closeness between men and women existed in ancient times, marriage’s primary purpose was to sanctify and regulate this relationship. Initially, there were no age restrictions for marriage, but over time, societal norms determined the appropriate age for men and women to marry. These age limits were not imposed by rulers or governments but were socially determined. Even today, we can observe variations in marriageable age based on region, caste, and community. Every parent is concerned about the marriage of their children. However, when a qualified son or daughter faces delays in marriage despite all efforts, the distress experienced by the family is immense. In some cases, marriage happens quickly and easily, but after the wedding, the couple’s life becomes filled with conflict and hardship. These marital problems can be categorized into delays in marriage, obstacles to marriage, marital conflicts, divorce, widowhood, and widowerhood.
Remedies for Delays and Obstacles in Marriage:
- Perform the Gauri Pratishtha ritual as described in the 18th chapter of the Agni Purana.
- Chant the following Gandharva Raja Mantra 10,000 times:“Om Kleem Vishvasurnama Gandharvah Kanyanam Adhipatih Labhami Devadattam Kanyam Suroopam Salankaram Tasmai Vishvavasave Swaha.”
- Men seeking marriage should chant the following mantra 108 times:“Patnim Manoramaam Dehi Manovritya Nusarineem. Tarineem Durgasamsara Sagarasya Kulodbhavaam.”
- Recite the Kanakadhara Stotra 21 times daily for 90 days.
- Worship a picture of Shri Ram Darbar (Lord Ram’s court) using the Panchopchar method, and chant the following couplet 21 times:“Tab Janak Pai Vashishta Aaysu Byaah Saaj Sanwari Kai, Mandavi Shrutikirti Urmila Kunwari Lai Hankari Kai.”
- Write the following Yantra on a Bhojpatra leaf using a pomegranate twig and Ashtagandha ink. Then, using a turmeric rosary, chant the mantra “Om Hreem Ham Sah” 1,100 times while a sesame oil lamp burns. After the ritual, express your desire for a speedy marriage.
- Observing Maa Gauri’s fast on Fridays is highly beneficial. Perform the fast without food and in the evening light a five-wicked lamp. Then, chant the following mantra 108 times:“Balarkayutasatprabham Karatale Lolambamalakulam, Malam Sandadhateem Manoharatanum Mandasmitadhemukheem. Mandam Mandam Upeyusheem Varyitum Shambhum Jaganmohineem, Vande Devamuneendravanditapadam Ishtarthadam Parvatheem.”
- If Saturn is causing delays or obstacles in marriage, the following mantra should be chanted for swift results:“Konasthah Pingalo Babhruh Krishno Roudro’ntako Yamah. Saurih Shanaischaro Mandah Pippalashraya Sansthitah. Etani Shani-Namani Japet Ashwattha Sannidhau. Shanaischarakrita Peeda Na Kadapi Bhavishyati.”Light a mustard oil lamp under a Peepal tree on Saturday evening and chant the above mantra 36 times.
- Recite the Mangal Stotra 21 times daily:“Raksha Raksha Jaganmatar Devi Mangala Chandike. Harike Vipadam Rasheh Harsha Mangala Karike. Harsha Mangala Dakshe Cha Harsha Mangala Dayike. Shubhe Mangala Daksha Cha Shubhe Mangala Chandike.”
- Recite the Soubhagya Ashtottar Shatanam Stotra and establish a properly consecrated Mangal Yantra in your home.
- Have a qualified priest secretly perform the Kumbh or Vishnu Vivah ritual for a girl. Secrecy is the key to the success of this ritual.
- Recite the first 27 verses of Saundarya Lahari.
- Observe the Savitr Vrat with devotion.
- Mix equal parts of ginger, fennel, Moulashree flowers, Singarak, Malkangani, and red sandalwood, and bathe in this mixture on Tuesdays.
- Special Remedy for Speedy Marriage (proven):
If a girl witnesses the marriage ceremony of Lord Shiva and Parvati on Maha Shivratri in a temple, she should collect 11 grains of Laja (rice puffs) from the temple in the morning and consume them. This will hasten her marriage.
- Recite the Shiva-Parvati marriage story from the Ramcharitmanas for 11 consecutive Mondays with devotion.
- Reciting the Shri Ram-Janaki marriage story also yields remarkable success.
- If Kalsarp Yoga is causing delays in marriage, perform a Vedic remedy for this fault by offering eight gold serpents into flowing water.
Remedies for Marital Discord:
Identify the planets responsible for discord with the help of an astrologer and perform peace rituals for the troublesome planets.
Women suffering from neglect or insult by their husbands should chant the following mantra 108 times daily for miraculous results:
“Abhitva Manujatena Dadhami Mama Vasana. Yashaso Mama Kevalah Nanyasa Keertayashchan. Yatha Nakulo Vicchhidya Sandadhatyahim Punah. Evam Kamasya Vicchhinnam Sa Dhehe Vo Yaditih. Ufam Kleem Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pati Vedanam. Urvarukamiva Bandhnanmrityormukshiya Mamritat Kleem Ufam.”
Keep a ghee lamp lit throughout the chanting period.
Gemstones and Rudraksha:
Wearing a Ganesh Rudraksha works wonders for removing delays in marriage.
For marital happiness, Jupiter (Brihaspati) and Venus (Shukra) are most important. While Jupiter is responsible for initiating married life, Venus provides bed pleasures and physical satisfaction. Performing peace rituals related to these planets ensures a happy married life.
In case of delays, wear a flawless 7.5 ratti yellow Pukhraj (yellow sapphire) set in a gold ring on the index finger on a Thursday.
If marital problems arise due to physical incapacity, wear a diamond (minimum of 1 carat).
Wearing a properly consecrated Gauri Shankar Rudraksha helps to resolve marital discord effectively.
