Vastu Shastra Guidelines for Shops to Avoid Disturbances and Ensure Prosperity
According to Vastu Shastra, several factors can cause family and business distress or unrest. Here are some important guidelines for shops and business spaces to avoid such problems and ensure financial prosperity:
- Obstructions in Front of the Shop: There should not be an electric pole, telephone pole, tree, or staircase directly in front of the shop. If there is, it may lead to financial loss.
- Placement of Furniture and Shelves: Place shelves, showcases, and furniture for keeping goods in the south-west or Nairutya (south-west) corner of the shop.
- Storage of Heavy Items: Any heavy goods or store items should be kept in the Nairutya (south-west) corner of the shop.
- Puja Area: The place of worship or temple should be situated in the north-east, north, or east direction.
- Owner’s Seating: The shop or showroom owner should sit facing the west. Doing so enhances income. There should be no beams directly over the owner or manager’s seat, nor over the cash register, as this is not conducive to business growth.
- Staff and Owner Seating Direction: Shop owners and staff should sit facing either east or north. This positioning brings wealth and helps foster better relations between customers and staff.
- Avoid South or West Facing Seating: If the staff or shopkeeper faces the south or west while sitting, it may lead to unnecessary expenses and difficulties.
- Cash Register Placement: The cash register or safe should be placed against the west or south wall, so it opens towards the north or east, which is considered auspicious.
- TV and Computer Placement: If you wish to keep a television or computer in the shop, the south-east corner is the most auspicious for these items.
- Donation Etiquette: When you open the shop or turn on the lights in the evening, never give away donations immediately. Also, never throw donations away or look at the ground or sky while donating.
- Deity Placement: Placing an idol of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha in the north or east direction of the shop brings prosperity.
- Family Deity: You should also place a picture of your family deity or Ishta Devta in the shop for blessings.
- Donation Posture: When giving donations, the shopkeeper or employees should always face east or north to ensure wealth gain.
- For Better Business: If your shop is not thriving, place an idol of Lord Ganesha above the main entrance. Ensure the idol faces both inside and outside the entrance.
- South-Facing Shops: If your shop entrance faces south, place the idol of Lord Ganesha only outside the main door.
By following these Vastu Shastra guidelines, one can prevent obstacles in business and ensure continuous growth and prosperity.
